Sometimes the best plans are the ones you don't make.

My husband and I just spent time in Gothenburg, Sweden. The only thing we scheduled? One dinner reservation. That's it.

Everything else—we followed tram lines. Talked to strangers. Let the city show us what mattered.

An impromptu conversation with Lottie, a local who became our unofficial city guide, led us to a car-free island in the archipelago. The loudest sound? A ferry horn in the distance. We ate sandwiches while dodging aggressive seagulls. Wandered through Salu Hallen Market. No agenda. Just... presence.

And here's the thing.

My best travel stories have never come from itineraries. They come from being present enough to say yes to what shows up.

When we loosen our grip on control, we make space for connection. When we stop curating every moment, we actually experience them.
