Student: Rodlee Williamson - Current Diesel Mechanics Student

Choosing a college is an important decision, and for Rodlee Williamson, FPC stood out because of its affordability, supportive staff, and convenient location close to home.

During his time at FPC, Rodlee found more than just a place to earn an education—he found a community that genuinely cared about his success. He shared that whenever he faced challenges, faculty and staff consistently took the time to check on him and offer support, regardless of how busy their own days were.

Through Rodlee's experience, he gained valuable knowledge in the career field he hopes to pursue while also building meaningful friendships. Whether he had questions about academics or needed guidance, he always found someone willing to help or connect him with the right resources. During one of the more difficult periods in his life, the encouragement and support he received from the FPC community made a lasting impact.

Looking back, Rodlee credits FPC with helping him grow not only academically, but also personally. The skills and experiences he gained have prepared him for both his future career and everyday life, and he believes other students can benefit from the same supportive environment.

The Mobile Workforce Unit is an extension of the Workforce Solutions Center, bringing services directly to rural customers and providing multiple computer stations with internet access which allows them to search for jobs, and improve their resumes where needed.

The Mobile Workforce Unit comes to Perryton the second Wednesday of each month. Their next visit with be Wednesday, June 10 from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Come by for assistance with your job-seeking!
