Perry R.C. Flyers
Located 2 miles east of the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter on Larry Walker Parkway (AKA Golden Isles Highway), Perry, GA. The airfield consists of a 375' x 30' foot woven textile runway and includes tables in the pit area for pilots convenience. There is ample parking space, covered picnic tables for guests, a Porta-Potty and generator powered 120V receptacles and lighting. Currently, the club has around 62 active members. Flyers are an AMA Chartered Field that adhere to the Academy of Model Aviation (AMA). On any given weekend, planes of all makes and models line the pit area. Instructors are also on hand to assist with those who are in RC flight training. Flying during the week and nights is also permitted for those who enjoy slower times with less air traffic. For those interested in flying, we also offer complimentary "discovery" flights on easy to fly, trainer-style aircraft. Flyers have been at our current field for over 3 years now, and continues to grow. We feel that we have an excellent site that will only get better as we improve upon it. Flyers welcomes all types of R.C. aircraft and power types: Airplanes, Helicopters, mult-irotors, gas, glow, and electric. We even have a couple of members with giant scale and turbine! Come see us!!
