Perry Area Historical Museum
Of particular interest to researchers is the Museum's Resource Room which contains many family histories and photos. Opened in March of 2010, the Perry Area Historical Society's Museum offers a collection of artifacts and memorabilia from Perry's earliest days. The Museum is located approximately 1/2 mile from Exit 136 on I-75.
How the Railroad Came to Perry

The Perry Area Historical Society will host Charlie Adams who will speak with guests at Springhill School on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 7 p.m. about how the railroad came to Perry. Most towns became county seats after they acquired the railroad, but Perry acquired the railroad a half century after it became the county seat. Learn interesting facts about routes, costs, and famous travelers. Admission is free but seating is limited. Please call 224-4442 or email [email protected] by February 18 to reserve your seat.
