Protecticoat is an acrylate polymer coating that, when applied properly, delivers a lustrous, protective finish, producing an effective barrier against oxidation, discoloration from the effects of sunlight, moisture, salt spray and other atmospheric contaminants.

The Ahlbrandts () put the camera on a tripod and ran the workflow on a chalky Tolix-style patio chair: OmniClean concentrate mixed with water to clean, Protecticoat in slow even passes to lock the color back in. Nothing in the frame moves except the surface.
The patio chairs always get the attention. The bar stools? Not so much.
