​The movement has grown to become a national phenomenon, but our mission is the same now as it was then:

-Preserve the art of fish decoy carving
-Promote the artists who create these timeless masterpieces

Each year artisans of decoy carving compete to win the honorable and prestigious World Points Championship award by entering their artwork in multiple competitions organized by the NFDA which are held during the fall, winter and spring months. For two days (a Saturday and Sunday on a select weekend) the community center is filled with carving competitions, decoy displays, vendors selling their art work and other sporting collectibles, silent auctions, raffles, and award winning decoy carvers demonstrating and sharing their talents. Saturday evening an awards banquet is held to recognize the carvers successes and to present the award to the NFDA's World Point Champion.
