Thank You For Showing Up 08/29/2019

Dear friends of Blue,

I cleaned out my office today and I found the Adele Dazeem playlist. Although life is certainly easier and filled with more ocean views these days, I'll always cherish Blue and all of the friends and family that we found there. For just a moment, we were all really awesome together. I miss you all of the time

Shout out to the South Side Office of Concern for The PATH (Projects for Assistance in Transitioning from Homelessness) Program. The purpose of the program is to provide community support services for individuals in Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford and Fulton counties who are homeless, at imminent risk of becoming homeless, do not have permanent housing AND have a serious mental illness and/or substance abuse issue. The goal is to help them find safe housing, meet daily living needs, and access the care and services that can improve their daily lives.

Hey! It's Jessica! I know I've been quiet lately - as usual, I get distracted :P I'm going to work on sharing more on here, because there are tons of great things happening in Peoria...and I still live here (how did that happen?).

One of the things I definitely want to promote is the venue that I currently work for. Not JUST because I work there, but because I have so much respect for the way that they operate, how they treat their staff, how they treat their performers and how they treat their customers. SO - Have you ever been to a local Dueling Pianos show? They're a blast. Cross my heart. Tickets are still available for this weekends Howlin' on Water...Dueling Pianos shows in The Broadway Lounge at the Waterhouse (I work there!).

We have food, we have pianos, the pianos are dueling, sometimes people dance (sometimes people swear so maybe don't bring kids), people laugh...and there's a bar. So dinner, drinks, and a piano battle, and it's only $40 a person. And it's a buffet, so you can get seconds.

Tickets are just $40 plus tax per person and includes dinner AND the show!

Call the Waterhouse box office at 309-494-9100 or visit their website at www.howlinonwater.com for tickets and more information. Or ask me questions. Whatever. Just come out. It's fun. I swear.
