Good Morning Pray for Pensacola and Happy Dr Martin Luther King Jr Day!

Today, let’s not only remember the amazing work of Dr MLK Jr, but let’s continue to live out his dream as a unified body of Christ. To come together on one accord does not always come without opposition, but it’s very necessary if we are to live as brothers and sisters in kingdom of God. The beautiful thing about God is that He created us all so different but in those differences, He also created us to work in unity. Ephesians 6:12 states that  “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.” The opposite of unity is division. Satan loves nothing more than to have division throughout the entire earth - in families, in work places, our communities, on social media and especially within the church - but in 2021, we won’t stand for his tactics or foolery any longer!

As we get ready to prepare for 40 days of prayer and fasting (starts January 24th 12am) let’s posture ourselves before God to seek His face, with an attitude of humility and repentance, and fight this spiritual battle next to one another (not against each other). Let’s put God in the rightful place as Lord over our lives and let’s fight against everything that the enemy has been throwing at us!!!

God, as the body of Christ we repent of putting anything or anyone before You and we are taking this time of fasting and prayer to turn our hearts back to You. As we come before You God, allow us to starve our flesh so that we can be filled with the Holy Spirit and operate as such.

This time of prayer and fasting is so much more than just taking a break from social media or your favorite meals and snacks. It is imperative that we are in agreement with saying NO to our flesh and YES to God! To join us, please sign up on our page Pray for Pensacola.
