Why do we need afterschool programs?

Our children have endured a lot over the last few years by being stuck indoors and unable to do many social activities because of COVID-19. Extending their day to an afterschool program greatly benefits their well-being and provides them with a social outlet that many kids still crave. These experiences can offer a deeper social focus because, while learning is still a top priority, they have the flexibility to dedicate more of the allotted time to socializing and relationship building.

Fearless Focus Program has been around for over 20 years giving children and teens just that, a place to socialize and strengthen their confidence and self-love.

We offer a Fall Program that runs evenings from SEPTEMBER 26TH to DECEMBER 19TH. This fall, we call our curriculum "FEARLESS, FREE & EMPOWERED!"

We mixed it up so that our returning and new students benefit from this 12-week curriculum. It's all new but with sprinkles of what our foundation consists of Confidence, Poise, Posture, Public Speaking, Relationships, Leadership, Mindset, Skincare & Makeup, and more! PRACTICE MAKES CONFIDENCE!

SCHOOL IS OUT FOR SUMMER!!

The summer is the perfect time for relaxing, and recharging from the hectic school year, and is an opportunity to help build self-esteem in your child.

The busy and rigid schedules of the school year are gone so why not allow your child to write down their summer wish list? What activities would they like to do and how would they like to spend their free time. You can tailor this list to different age groups you can even add some ideas of your own and see if they agree.

Spending time with their friends is always a good thing but pushing themselves a little to try new things will help them discover a little more about who they are and what they are made of.

Gentle nudges and some creativity! You got this!!

As children enter the middle school years it is increasingly important to them that they fit in with peers. It is at this age that children often care more about what their peers think of them, than they do about what their parents think. This isn't to be mean to the parents, but they have such a strong desire to be liked and accepted by their peers, that they tend to focus on them more than they really should.

During this time there are also issues of bullying that become more predominant. It is also a time when kids begin to feel more peer pressure, and they may question themselves.

It's important for parents to take the time to talk casually with their kids about their day, things they have done, and things that may be bothering them. In order to help them open up to having a conversation with you keep it generic at first. Talk to them about current events, and their hobbies, and talk to them about your day as well. Communication is the key to connecting and building that relationship. Once communication is flowing you can focus more on helping them navigate hard things.

DEFINE - STRENGTHEN - OWN

Often boys think being brave is being strong and fearless. However, bravery happens when you respect yourself enough to do things outside your comfort zone. You join a club because you want to see if you can become a better debater. Or, you are trying out for the team to see if you can push yourself and be a successful athlete. It can be immensely challenging to tackle obstacles and try new things. So much so that many people never attempt it. But, the uncertain space just outside your comfort zone is where the greatest innovations, most fulfilling accomplishments, and the most impactful experiences help you to grow as a person. All you need is a little bravery and belief in yourself!

This fall we are opening our studio for the boys! Our POWERHOUSE PROGRAM WORKSHOPS will help young boys and teens to DEFINE, STRENGTHEN, and OWN their life.
