I cannot stress enough. If you see mushrooms on your trees then please be proactive and take the proper steps to resolve the issues. Mushrooms are a sign of rot. As you can see this large limb broke off of the trunk and fell into the street. The homeowner made the right call and had the tree completely removed as well as a hackberry that also had mushrooms near the base of the tree in the backyard.
Anyone that does trees knows the complexity of this tree due to the fact that there was no redirect or tie in point. Nevertheless, we were able to take these trees down with zero damage to the property

This is the first pine tree this year to fall victim to pine bark beetles that we have come across. Very unfortunate situation for this homeowner as this was 1 of 2 that remain in his front yard.
Pine bark beetles attack weakened and stressed trees. Please water your trees. The beetles will be active from now until October. If you notice yellowing and brown needles please take a closer look at the trunk to see if there are any signs of boring and sawdust. If this is the case, you must act quickly in removing the tree before the beetles find a new host.
Tree care workers are sometimes referred to as "tree killers" and I admit we can slay trees with the best of them but I got into this industry because I love trees. We maintain and care for trees far more than we do removing them. In fact, tree removal is the last resort.
There is a art to tree removal but if you want to see a true masterpiece that can only be accomplished with the pruning from a person with a trained eye and a relentless drive for perfection. Tree work is hard. You have to love it or you'll never see these trees reach their true potential.
