Happy 4th of July!
It is getting busy out there.

We want you to know that tonight we have a Lieutenant, three Sergeants, our Street Crimes Unit, and two overlapping Patrol shifts working to handle incoming calls for service and help keep the community safe.

With that being said, we are doing our absolute best to take care of our community and prioritize calls based on need and safety concerns. We are committed to responding to all calls for service, including your fireworks complaints that violate the City of Pasco’s ordinance, and handling them professionally.

Some calls may take us longer to get to, especially calls that are infraction-only or lower priority. Calls involving immediate threats to life, violence, or other serious criminal activity will take priority over ticket-only offenses.

We will handle business. Please call if you need us, but know that we are doing the best we can to get to everyone.

We will do our best to educate, as some of the community is unsure of the Pasco Municipal Code where you live. Aerial fireworks are unlawful in the city limits. Basically, if they go up they are unlawful, if they are ground based they are fine. (PMC) PAS16.65.051

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!

The next time you see our officers, and if you look really close, you might notice a couple subtle differences.

In honor of this great country’s Semiquincentennial milestone, (yes that’s a real word. Yes it is spelled correctly. No I can’t say it out loud), we have made a couple changes to our uniform to celebrate this occasion.

Pictured below are the badges and patches our officers will be wearing to honor USA’s birthday. We LOVE the new flair, and we hope you do, too.

So, if you notice a little bit of a pep in our step. A little more pizazz in our policing. We feel good because we look good.
