This year, with your support, we launched Picnic Studio, ran our first crowdfunding campaign, were featured in People Magazine, signed the lease for our permanent Pasadena space, became a 501(c)(3), hosted our first fundraiser, and opened our doors to our first group of artists with IDD. In just a couple of weeks, we’ll celebrate with our community at our opening party 12/13 (come!)

My sister and I lost our beloved mom yesterday and I couldn’t be more heartbroken. I feel like my heart has been violently ripped out of my chest. No one was more kind or funny or fun to be around. We shared a deep love for interior design, antique furniture, and for the past couple of years she’s been helping me learn sign language — which has been one of my most cherished recent memories. My mom was so unique, I truly do not think there is anyone like her on this earth and I can’t believe she’s gone. If you knew her — please comment a funny or sweet memory, it would make me feel so happy as tears free flow down my face and tattered childhood blanket that I’ve swaddled myself in.
