The Futur

We did something crazy and totally unnecessary…
We bought a house.

Not because our family outgrew our existing house.
But because I have this idea about the future.

This might come as a surprise to some of you, but I believe the future is hybrid. It's not entirely online or in-person. As someone who has spent the last 12 years creating 1k+ videos on YouTube, and a big fan of virtual, I know something special and unique happens when people come together.

And for that to happen, I need space (imagine Keanu saying this).
So for the last 2 years, I started looking again for a commercial property (a little closer to home) that I could go from idea to reality.

Not an office, house, gym, cafe, media center, production studio, or maker lab.
But all of those things blurred into one.

I had almost given up hope until…
against all odds, my dream house appeared back on the market.

After a previous failed attempt to buy it, I was in disbelief when I saw it back on the market a few years later.

This. Was. Meant. To. Be.
The real estate gods tested my fortitude.

The universe dared me—
If you want it, make an offer.
And so we did.

(Credit to my wife for finding a bank who would finance us, and for her belief, once again, in the crazy dreams that I have)

Then the call came from our brokers.
"Are you sitting down?" they asked.
We held our collective breath…

"Congratulations. You're the new owners."

We were simultaneously filled with joy and dread.
Now what?! How are we going to pay for this?

I looked at my wife and told her, "Don't worry. I'll find a way."
Which leads me to my second crazy idea.
