Today I volunteered as a parent chaperone for my daughter's class trip to see The Wild Robot at the theater.

The movie is fantastic! Great story, beautiful to look at, funny and heartwarming.

Being a parent of a neuro-divergent child, I was surprised how much I related to this story. It's difficult to explain if you haven't seen it.

Anyway, I was reminded of some drawings I did about 7 years ago. Not knowing there was even a book series about a Wild Robot, I came up with characters that seemed to have fit in this storyline.

If you haven't seen The Wild Robot, I can't recommend it enough!

Today's Drawing Winsday drawings

I can't believe it's already week 8! Two months of drawing fun characters live!

Character Design! Using my hi-tech ziploc bags, I grabbed animals and attitudes/emotions, creating characters on the spot.

I doodled some Giraffe expressions in my little sketchbook the other day. I'm happy with most of them.

After my live Drawing Winsday today, I decided to do the 20 minute pose of the model. It needs some work, but overall I'm happy I did it.
