As a conscientious, curious, and passionate researcher eager to collaborate and tackle critical problems via scientific innovations, I have started my undergraduate education (Bachelor of Science) in Physics and Astrophysics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), and am super-thrilled to continue my research at CERN, Geneva, under my Caltech Advisor, wherein I have already worked as
part of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) collaboration on the Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detectors—a new muon system in CMS at the Large Hadron Collider—to develop a new data acquisition system for one of the detector’s quality controls. At Caltech, I have also joined an incredible NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) research group, and will be starting a project at the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) soon. I will also continue to work as a researcher at the BEYOND: Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science, wherein I have already co-authored a paper titled, ‘False Positives and the Challenge of Testing the Alien Hypothesis’, to be published in ‘PNAS Nexus’. I am also a Co-Author of NASA ‘Astrobiology Primer 3.0’ (astrobiologyprimer.org) and got to write Chapter 9 titled, ‘Life as we don’t know it’, to be published in ‘Astrobiology’ journal. A Rise Global Winner working on a climate change project titled, ‘Network Theory models of mass extinctions’, I am also a World Science Scholar—under-18 exceptional mathematicians in the world—a first from the MENA region (at present a Mentor to current Scholars), and Alumni of The Junior Academy, New York Academy of Sciences. I am also the world’s youngest author in paleontology having published my first book, ‘When Dinosaurs Roamed the Earth’, at 7. Since then, I have authored, ‘Planet Radioactive’ and ‘Walking with Prehistoric Beasts’. While I have undertaken rigorous challenges in academics at Dubai College (my high school), achieving all five A*s in my A-levels, I have also completed Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics' super-selective International Summer School for Young Physicists (ISSYP) program and Harvard University’s Secondary School Program with a college credit course titled, ‘Planets, Moons and Their Stars: The Search for Life in the Cosmos’. A Future Stars-Arabian Achievement Award winner, Sharjah Book Authority’s ‘Incredible Talent’, TEDx speaker, Femina Middle East’s Young Achiever, British Science Association’s Science Ambassador, Emirates Environmental Group’s Crystal Trophy winner, I am also a ‘State Asset’ and ‘UAE Ambassador of Organ Donation’—both declared by the UAE Prime Minister—and Founder-CEO of PAWS for Therapy. At Dubai College, I have been the Founder-Head of STEM Talks Society, Founding President-Head of Paleontology Society, Co-Head of Math Puzzle Committee, Senior Leader of Math Society, Editor-in-Chief of ‘Hardwire’, Editor of ‘DC Quantum’ and ‘DConstructed’, and Member of Dubai Astronomy Group.
