Each member of our department proudly accepted the responsibility to the citizens of the City of Parma to provide the best fire protection and emergency medical service. Using up to date technology we are going to radically change how information is sent to the public. Please visit often, as we will be posting updates on a daily basis. The Parma Fire Fire Department wants to congratulate Chief Mike Lasky in his retirement from the Parma Fire Department. Chief Lasky served with distinction for 31 years being hired in 1995. Chief Lasky led the department through Covid, tornadoes and major fires. Under his tenure manpower was increased form 23-25 members on duty opening Medic 3 to better serve the residents of Parma. Chief Lasky hired 65 firefighters and promoted 25 positions during his time as chief. He will be missed by the members and the city. In closing we want to congratulate Captain Lou Davis on his upcoming appointment to Fire Chief. Thanks for your service chief, have a long and happy retirement.
