A nearby big chain computer store told this lady the main board in her Samsung laptop was dead, said they couldn’t get the part, and tried to sell her a new laptop and a data recovery service to transfer files from her “dead” machine.

She brought it to us instead.

It wasn’t the main board at all. It was the secondary power button / USB board—a small, inexpensive part. We ordered it, installed it, and everything powered up perfectly again with all her data intact. 💾
