Dear Homeowners and Residents,
We understand many owners recently received communication from HBS Trash advising that HBS has transitioned its residential and commercial collection services to WM of Colorado.

The Association did not receive advance notice of this communication before it was sent to owners. Since receiving the notice, we have confirmed the following:

The current trash service will continue without interruption.

The regular service day will remain the same.

The Recycle Service will remain weekly.

The existing Association trash contracts will be honored.

The following services are provided and will continue:

Weekly Trash Pickup
3 extra trash bags are allowed per week with your trash service. You place these bags next to your trash cart.
Weekly Recycle Pickup - all recycle items must be inside your recycling services cart (yellow lid cart).
Owners can contact HBS/WM for an additional cart for trash is available for rental of $5 per cart per month. This does not include a Recycling Services Cart (Yellow lid Cart). You will need to contact HBS/WM for the cost.
HBS Trash Operation Waste Collection Time schedule is 7am to 7pm.Owners do not need to take any action.
HBS has advised that WM of Colorado assumed service effective June 1, 2026. HBS also indicated that many of the same drivers and service representatives have joined WM, so service in the community should remain familiar and consistent.

We understand the sudden notice may have caused confusion, especially since this communication and additional communications have been sent directly to owners. At this time, based on the information confirmed, there are no anticipated changes to the community’s trash service, recycle service, collection day, or contracted service terms.

Trash service issues, including missed pickups or other service concerns, should continue to be reported directly through the HBS customer service request form:

Castlewood Ranch Bulk Day Pick-up Schedule and Guidelines

HBS Trash Service has scheduled its donated one large item curbside service for the Canterberry Crossing community.

Due to the size of Castlewood Ranch, bulk pickup will take place over two service days:

Thursday, June 18th

Friday, June 19th

A service-area map is attached showing which homes will be serviced each day. An Excel spreadsheet listing addresses by service day is also attached. Please review the map or spreadsheet carefully so you know your scheduled collection day.

Instructions

Please follow these guidelines to ensure your one large bulk item is collected:

ONE large item per home
50 lb. weight limit
Mattresses allowed — maximum king size

Place one large bulk item under 50 lbs. at the curbside before 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.

HBS recommends placing the item out the night before to avoid being missed.

Please note that HBS will not return for missed pickups. HBS will make one pass down each street on the scheduled collection day shown on the attached map and address list. Items must be placed curbside before 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled day to ensure collection..

Prohibited Items

HBS cannot collect the following:

Electronics, including TVs, computers, printers, monitors, microwaves, and other electronics
Appliances, including appliances with Freon
Tires
Rocks, concrete, dirt, sod, or tree stumps
Carpet, drywall, lumber, fencing, or remodeling/construction debris
Paint, motor oil, combustibles, toxic/hazardous waste, or liquids of any kind
Please also review the attached unacceptable materials flyer for the full list of items that cannot be collected. Unacceptable materials include, but are not limited to, hazardous waste, dirt, industrial waste, chemical products, oil filters, herbicides, pesticides, propane tanks, batteries, fluorescent tubes, medical waste, asbestos, animals, barrels, contaminated oils, and all liquids.

No hazardous materials are permitted. Disposal of unacceptable materials may result in fines or other penalties.

Additional Information

This complimentary bulk day service is for one large item per home. It is not intended for garage clear-outs or moving items.

Residents may place three extra bags of trash, grass, or leaves, or 4-foot tied bundles of branches/limbs, at the curbside for free on their regular trash day every week, but not on this complimentary bulk day.

For construction materials, renovations, restorations, or large quantities of debris, please call HBS directly at 720-547-8600 to schedule a personal roll-off container. A roll-off container is available for 20% off normal rates using VIP Code HBSMM2026.
