First UMC Park Ridge

On Sunday, July 12, we gathered in the Memorial Garden for outdoor worship and a blessing of the pets. Pets great and small came forward with their humans for a blessing, a treat, and a word of gratitude for the animals who share our lives and homes. Thank you to everyone who came out, and to our musicians who made worship in the garden extra special!

Next Sunday, July 12, worship moves outdoors! Join us at 9:30 am in the Memorial Garden at 410 Grant Place for our annual Pet Blessing. Bring your pets on leashes or in carriers, a lawn chair or blanket, and some water for your animal friends. There will be a dedicated moment to remember pets who have passed; consider bringing a picture or memento of your dear pet. If it rains, we'll move into Jorgeson Hall. When clients have birthdays to celebrate, we like to present them with a celebration bag containing cake mix, frosting, and candles. We rely on donations to keep our supplies stocked. Donations are accepted on Monday mornings from 8:30 - 11:30, at 6125 W Foster Avenue, Chicago.
