The Korean Women's International Network (KOWIN) is a network of women leaders of Korean descent from all over the world and was established in 2001 as a brainchild of Ministry of Gender Equalities of the Korean government. KOWIN’s purpose is to bring together Korean women leaders from around the world to facilitate discussion of issues concerning Korean women at an annual conference in Seoul and to promote efficient international networking among Korean women leaders both in Korea and abroad.

KOWIN Chicago was proud to once again partner with the Chicago Korean Education Center to support the Annual World Language Korean Festival, held on May 7, 2025, at the Korean Cultural Center. During the event, KOWIN Chicago members assisted in serving delicious Korean food to nearly 300 K–12 students currently enrolled in Korean language classes at their schools. Each year, we take great pride in contributing to this meaningful celebration of the Korean language and culture.
