Bitner Ranch in Park City

Amber Anderson and Jansen Bennett from the Utah State Historic Preservation Office joined Brad and me at the Bitner Ranch today!
We had such a great conversation about the Rock House! 👏👏👍
I love history! 🤩

There is always cleaning to be done at the Bitner Ranch!
This is bags of wool that was sheared in the spring 🐑

Next project is the chicken coop! 🐓

This new picture showed up on a Park City History chat.
It is from before Grandpa Milton Bitner raised the barn roof to store hay! 🐴

And taking my friend Margie for a tour. She said that many things in the Rock House reminded her of her grandfathers house in Lehi. 😊

Two projects happening at the Bitner Ranch today and tomorrow.

A new Swingset was delivered and installed today.
Hopefully it will give a new generation of kids something fun to do while visiting the Ranch. In the 60s and 70s all of us Bitner cousins played endless hours in the big yard!
We need to make the time to play again!!🤣🤣

The garage project is in full gear. These panels will be installed tomorrow! 😎👍

There is no end to the repair work that need to be done today.
These boys all pitched in to take care of this 100 + years old garage. 😎

The dang beaver has toppled 2 more trees! 😩

Inside of the Rock House is a thick layer of winter dust and dead flys!

It is great that the family members have the chance to work together.
The family is getting so big it is nice to work side by side to meet them.

We were back at it today!
10 more trees free to grow without wire fencing choking the trunks!
Slowly but surely!🍂🍃
