Everyone has an opinion about the person in the arena.

The loudest critics are rarely the ones taking the risk.

The ones who have never climbed on the horse somehow know how to ride it better.
The ones who have never stood on pointe somehow know how to dance.

It’s easy to point out flaws when your hands are clean.

Spiritually, I think we’re guilty of doing this more than we’d like to admit.

We judge the struggles we don’t carry.
We criticize the calling we weren’t given.
We dissect someone else’s purpose while neglecting our own.

Jesus never spent His ministry criticizing people from a distance. He stepped into the dust with them. He touched the broken, ate with the outcasts, and carried a cross that wasn’t His to deserve.

Maybe our calling isn’t to become better critics.
Maybe it’s to become better participants.

To love louder.
To forgive quicker.
To encourage more than we condemn.

Because at the end of the day, God won’t ask us how well we judged someone else’s race.

He’ll ask what we did with the one He gave us.

Be the one who rides.
Be the one who dances.
Be the one who lives with enough courage that criticism becomes background noise.
