🚨 EMERGENCY UPDATE FOR HAZEL 🚨

Our hearts are breaking today.

As many of you know, our beautiful Hazel has been patiently waiting in foster care for well over two years for someone to see what an incredible dog she is. Today, instead of searching for her forever family, she’s fighting through a medical emergency.

Hazel has not eaten or had anything to drink for the past 48 hours and was rushed to VEG Emergency. X-rays indicate a possible blockage in either her small intestine or colon, but we still don’t know exactly what is causing it.

After her initial evaluation in Paramus, Hazel had to be transferred to Hoboken for an emergency ultrasound. Even with our rescue discount, the ultrasound alone cost $980.33, and we’ve already paid it.

Unfortunately, we don’t know what comes next. She may need surgery, or she may require extensive supportive care. Either way, the expenses are mounting quickly.

Pawsitively Furever Dog Rescue is run by a small army of volunteers who simply refuse to give up on dogs like Hazel. We know everyone is feeling the strain of rising costs and busy lives, but if you can find even a little bit of grace in your heart to help Hazel today, we would be forever grateful.

The hospital requires payment before procedures are performed, so we are doing everything we can to make sure Hazel gets the care she needs without delay.

Hazel has spent over two years waiting for someone to choose her. Today, we’re asking our rescue family to choose her once again and help us give her every chance to heal.

Please keep our sweet girl in your prayers. We will update everyone as soon as we know more. ❤️🐾

Meet Teddy 🧸🐾

This adorable little guy was adopted back in September 2025, but sadly his adopter now wishes to return him due to potty training issues. Teddy weighs a whopping 18 lbs of pure cuteness.

Teddy does potty outside, but he is still having accidents in the home as well. He has been fully vetted and examined by the veterinarian, with no medical concerns found. This sweet boy simply needs patience, consistency, and someone willing to help guide him.

Teddy would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day to continue working with him and helping him succeed. He is crate trained, does well with other dogs, and responds well to structure. Belly bands and crate training have both been helpful tools for him — he just needs direction and someone committed to helping him stay on track.

Dogs like Teddy are worth the extra effort. Sometimes they just need a little more time, understanding, and a safe place to learn. 💙

We are currently looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home while we evaluate his needs and continue working with him.

Please complete a foster application or foster-to-adopt application on our webpage www.pawsitivelyfurever.org

Let’s give Teddy the chance he deserves to shine. ✨

If you cannot foster, please share. Lets find him his furever
