Ivan transformed his university laboratory into an interactive ThingLink-enabled learning space, giving students a guided "Laboratory Learning Roadmap" to explore and familiarise themselves with major lab equipment — and even showcasing it to prospective students and families on campus Open Days.

Young people are struggling to access traditional work placements, and every day, employers receive placement requests they can't realistically accommodate. Learners are missing out on valuable real-world practice, and employers can't open their doors as wide as they'd like to.
In our free webinar one week today (Wednesday 24th June) Kate Whyles (Digital Innovation and Development Coach, Nottingham College) and Louise Jones (Chief Community Officer, ThingLink) explore how immersive, virtual experiences offer a more scalable, equitable way to help learners build workplace-ready skills, regardless of whether a placement is available. thinglink.com/blog/new-webinar-how-to-create-immersive-customer-service-skills-training-with-thinglink/
They'll also tackle a related problem: customer service training still leans heavily on slide decks and videos. Useful for information, but not enough to build real confidence and capability. Kate and Louise will show how to use ThingLink to give learners realistic, low-stakes spaces to practise communication and customer service skills before they're on the job.
Whether you're supporting student development or workforce learning, this session will arm you with practical, ready-to-use strategies.
