NOLS Alaska has a rich history of over 40 years in our nations wildest state. We currently operate from the Chukchi Sea, all the way to Southeast Alaska. Our course areas are so remote and wild that we continually come up with new and exciting course areas.

On this day in 1965, Paul Petzoldt and a small team of instructors led the first NOLS students into Wyoming’s Wind River Range with a bold idea: leadership is learned through experience.
