Grateful Dead Fans know the Band has helped Deadheads forge lifelong friendships that we'll cherish and count on forever. All the.while taking us on shared adventures we could have never even imagined. After seeing more than 600 Dead shows, all we can say is, "What a long strange trip it's been". We started Being a DeadHead in 1973 just after Pigpen died. Always regretted missing his blues and passion. We remember seeing the Legion of Mary aka The Jerry Garcia Band - JGB with Merl Saunders many times. We saw Bobby Weir with Kingfish. We were at Boston's Music Hall when the Dead started touring again in 74. They opened up their 3 day run with Cold, Rain & Snow. It was Epic. We are one of the fortunate Deadheads Remember Englishtown '77. Oxford Plains too. We were in Nashville when Jerry passed in the summer of 1995 and weeped uncomfortably in the stairwell of the Ga***rd Opryland Hotel. Our grief was real. Just like now. Two weeks before Bobby joined the stars, one of our best friends, a true Deadhead from Boston since 1973, lost his courageous battle with cancer. He was a true believer in enjoying the High Times and living the Good Life. As we all know, too much of everything is just enough. That unbreakable bond and sense of community is why we created The Deadhead Ranch at Hummingbird Hollow. We hope to see you soon

We built The Deadhead Ranch at Hummingbird Hollow near Visit Palestine, Texas because Being a DeadHead is awesome. It's been a major part of our social and spiritual consciousness since 1973. We've seen over 600 shows and know the Deadhead experience is the best. It's filled our lives with magic and mirth. They truly are a Band beyond description. Losing Bobby 2 weeks ago was heartbreaking, yet so much more bearable knowing we shared our grief with Grateful Dead Fans and Dead & Company Fans from around the world. We are connected. We are a family.
