Pulling off a FULL day fundraiser and festival is no easy feat, but these folks make it look like a breeze.

We began set up on 8:00 PM Friday evening and worked all through the night until the event started at noon. Each of these people took MINIMAL breaks for the duration of the festival and most of them volunteered their time to create the magic you saw before you. We need to lift each other up daily and this is a small start.

It always feels surreal to decompress after Local Licks Music Festival and Fundraiser. I work on this event for MONTHS at a time every year to ensure that all goes to plan and nothing is forgotten-but the real magic doesn't happen until the people in these photos take the stage and share their art with us. It's in these moments that we push aside the turbulent energies around us-to make room for whatever the universe may have in store for us. We just have to stop to listen and be willing to accept the greatness all around us. It's in these moments where we find purpose and meaning.

This was my first time taking photos at an event that I produced and it was truly an interesting experience viewing things from behind the lens. I have an immense amount of respect for professional photographers and can't wait to see what all of you captured.
