He has several old cars but his baby would be the 1952 chevy truck that goes by the name "Heavy Metal." He also has a new addition to his collection of cars, a 1978 dragster...that I lovingly call "Shirley" LOL Many of you know why. He has continuously shown he has talent and a true love for the sport! Watching him grow has been a blessing and honor!
2021....brings new things....it’s now Jesse, at age 18, in that 1978 dragster...& he’s ready to fly!

What a day! It was great to be out with family and friends watching Jesse Joyce continue to grow and learn! I’m not sure who was more nervous at the beginning of the day...him, his Pop (Danny Wright), N.Mom (Janet Wright), maybe his Mom (Tammy) who wasn’t able to make it but was texting frequently?
Gee, it sure wasn’t his Aunt Amanda....
I knew he had it! lol 😝
Well, so....yesterday was a BIG day in the world of Wright’s Racing! Jesse Joyce made his debut in the grown up/big dragster at Beacon In Paducah, KY. Last pass...he finally had the taste of the burn out he has waited 10+ years for and a hint of the speed he’s dreamed of; going 5.74 in the 1/8 at 117 MPH.
Stayed tuned! 2021....Year 1 of the Flying J (and we don’t mean the truck stop)! lol 🍕
