Hi all! Want to work as a para for OUHSD? The district needs FIFTY FOUR Paraeducators for the 2021 -2022 school year!!! Read below to see what you need to apply and your pay! :)

Paraeducator I (Instructional Aide): Paraeducator’s work under the direct supervision of classroom or program resource teachers. Step 1 starts at $16.73 an hour

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent. *No Child Left Behind Requirements: Must have High School Diploma, 48 College Units, and/or an Associate’s Degree or the successful completion of the Parapro test.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, lift and stand for prolonged periods; see to read the fine print and for depth perception; use hands and fingers to perform tasks; speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate effectively.

Paraeducator IV (Physically/SH Handicapped): Under the Supervision of the Assistant Principal and the direction of the school nurse, the Para IV-LVN monitor assigned student health for the purpose of the student to reach their learning objectives. May perform other specialized physical health care services which are necessary during the school day to enable a child to attend school and which are prescribed by the child’s licensed physician.
Step 1 starts at $20.38 an hour.
