The circle of life hit me for the first time a few days ago: I lost my beloved mother.
I will always remember her as the woman who fought for our survival during the civil war in Cambodia and who brought us safely to Germany. She gave us kids everything she could to lay down the foundation of our successful future.
It is her entrepreneurial mindset that I inherited as well as her passion for great food.
I feel so grateful that she could visit me this summer here in the US and experience the making of Cutiebread as well as other precious moments.
Her great spirit will continue to live in me, Cutiebread and Château Thu-Ly.

2025 is about to wind down and 2026 is already knocking at the door. The new year will bring big changes for me, and my priorities will shift. I will live more than before between two worlds, the US and Europe.

My dream project in France will reach a milestone next year and I will start focusing on renovating the interior of a transformed, historical building. It will become a luxurious bed and breakfast place where I will offer healthy options for breakfast, including Cutiebread treats, herbs, fruits and vegetables from its garden. If everything goes smoothly Château Thu-Ly will open its first 4 rooms in 2028.

I will continue to support my customers here in the US in living a healthier life online or whenever I am around. This will be still the majority of my time, but you will feel my absence especially in the summer. The bakery will therefore be run as a pure hobby: the online shop will be discontinued, and orders can be placed for pickup via email to avoid any early payments or miscommunication.

I am very excited. My dream becomes more and more tangible and floating pieces fall into their place.

I wish that one day you will also be able to spend magic times in Château Thu-Ly.
