Greetings all!

I'm sure we didnt need to tell you we are in a heat wave, but here are some reminders of things you can do to keep your home cooler, cut down on your energy usage (which will save you money) and participate in the collective effort to keep the grid from being overburdened and breaking down (and therefore help avoid brown and potential black-outs, among other things).

LOWER ALL THE SHADES IN YOUR HOME begining in the morning - particularly those where the sun shines in - to keep your residence as cool as possible. This will lower your energy use!

You can also get paid for reducing your pull from the grid by signing up for GridRewards (ConEd) or Smart Savings Rewards (NYSEG). It's never too late !

Keep hydrated and be safe!!

Thank you to all of the exhibitors and vendors that believed in the power of community and were able to attend the Festival - Rain or Shine...you made it.
A Festival is not successful because of any one person; it is often because of the efforts of many and we have many to be grateful for.

Our incredibly supportive Parks and Rec department is fundamental to the Festival and we have tremendous gratitude for the efforts that begin months ahead of the day-of.

Our municipal administrators are also fundamental to the support we receive and help facilitate much of the behind-the scenes process in a way that really make things run smoothly (and legally!), and we also have tremendous gratitude to the resources of the Ossining Police Department in ensuring that folks remained safe and people were kept informed about parking logistics.

To Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corp: thank you for always being at-the-ready (and thank goodness your services were not needed!)

But there is a whole other level of community that we have to thank:
*To our friends of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.., in Northern Westchester who show up ready to help every year at 6am. Somehow you raise the level of cheer under the stressful pre-Festival set-up hours, and then disappear before you even get to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
*To Here Coffee and Beer, who woke up extra early and delivered coffee at 6am for the set-up crew who desperately needed it.
*To John F. Kramer who year after year has provided us with Festival photos. And to Howard Rolls who is our trustworthy drum circle friend.
To Bridget Kenny, Ossining Union Free School Districtteacher and OHS Environmental Club Advisor who has been keeping that Club going and helping kids learn outside of the classroom.
*To the Ossining Boat & Canoe Club who has to deal with our annual shenanigans at the absolute worst time (striped bass season and prepping of the Club for the beginning of the season).
*To the Ossining Youth Bureau: what an incredible positive impact on our community. Incredibly responsive, committed and engaged!

And there were so many more who gave some of their time to fill in gaps. It all mattered and made a difference to the success of the event.
So from all of us, Thank You.

(p.s. please share any special photos that you may have captured with us here! We'd love to see them!)
