Golder Ranch Fire District

Flag Day is an important way we commemorate the adoption of the American flag on June 14th, 1777. And as the American flag has come to mean so many things to so many different people, the Thin Red Line flag has come to represent and honor the courage and sacrifice of firefighters and emergency personnel.

Golder Ranch Fire crews responded to a brush fire on Hwy 79 near milepost 97 earlier today. Through their hard work, they contained the fire at approximately 8 acres. Please remember to secure tow chains and be responsible with smoking materials. Thanks to the assistance from our partners Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management and Arizona Department of Transportation

Monsoon season starts June 15 and runs through September 30, bringing the potential for lightning, dust storms, strong winds, and flash flooding across our area.🌧🌩

A few important reminders to help keep everyone safe this season:
• Never drive through flooded streets
• Bring children and pets inside before storms arrive
• Keep kids away from washes and drainage areas
• Respect road closure signs and barricades. They’re there for a reason.

Now is also a good time to review your emergency plan and make sure your family knows what to do during severe weather.

When storms roll in, remember: Turn around, don’t drown.
