Doglando
In everything we do, we believe in challenging the status quo, we believe in thinking differently, we believe in providing dogs with experiences that will help them thrive in captive living, and we believe in having open communication and an exchange of dialog between all the human counterparts that are connected in enhancing each dog's quality of life experience. Happy Birthday to our rock, our go to handy guy, and the one who always knows how to make everyone laugh.
Nim, thank you for being someone we can always count on. Whether it’s fixing something that broke, jumping in wherever you’re needed, or lightening the mood with one of your jokes, you make a difference every single day.
Your willingness to help, your steady presence, and your sense of humor are all a huge part of what makes Doglando what it is. We appreciate everything you do behind the scenes and the impact you have on our team.
We hope today is filled with laughter, good food, and a chance to celebrate you for everything you bring to those around you.
Happy Birthday, Nim! We hope this year brings you nothing but great adventures, happiness, and plenty of reasons to smile. ❤️

Happy 10th Birthday, Princess! 👑
Some dogs come into your life ready to trust. Others teach you what trust truly means.
When Princess first came to Doglando, she was deeply uncomfortable with human touch. She wasn’t looking for affection, and she certainly wasn’t asking for strangers to handle her. If someone reached toward her, she made her feelings very clear. She had boundaries, and she expected them to be respected.
We knew this wasn’t a dog that needed to be pushed. She needed someone willing to slow down and meet her where she was.
So that’s exactly what we did.
For two months, three days a week, Princess was tethered to one team member for nearly the entire day. If it was time to walk, she walked with them. If it was time for lunch, she laid beside them. If they had to run into the office,or even squeeze into a tiny half bathroom. Princess came too.
The goal wasn’t obedience.
The goal was relationship.
One of the biggest milestones was bath time. Every single week, she received a bath—not because she needed one, but because bathing required the kind of trust that couldn’t be faked. Those sessions became opportunities to show her that hands could be gentle, predictable, and safe.
There were no shortcuts.
No forcing.
No flooding.
Just hundreds of small, consistent interactions that slowly changed the way she felt about people.
When she was finally comfortable enough to be off leash with that one trusted person, the work wasn’t over. It had only reached its next chapter.
We began introducing another team member.
Then another.
Then another.
Eventually she learned that trust didn’t belong to just one person. Her world expanded, and so did the number of people she could confidently build relationships with. Even bath time became something another team member could do because the foundation had been laid so carefully.
Princess is still Princess.
She is sassy. She has opinions. She lets you know exactly how she’s feeling, and we absolutely love that about her.
Her story is a reminder that behavior is communication, and lasting change doesn’t happen because we demand it. It happens because we invest the time, consistency, and patience to help a dog feel safe enough to choose trust.
Thank you for reminding us that some of the strongest relationships are built one earned interaction at a time. We love you, exactly as you are.
