TL;DR: Free feedback training available at www.risemodel.com

One of my greatest hopes for my students is that they get to know themselves and then support who they know themselves to be.

It sounds simple enough, but staying in alignment with ourselves requires both attention and action. We have to be able to notice that we’ve gone crosswise with ourselves and then be willing to course correct.

Recently I came up against one of those practice what you preach moments - A powerful grounding for any teacher.

Here’s what I know about me: I love to create. I’m good at seeing the big picture, making a plan, and rolling up my sleeves to get to work.

What I don’t love maintenance mode.

Two years ago a created a foundations course for my RISE Model and launched a community space to support an ongoing conversation around feedback. But now I realize I’m in maintenance mode and the energy that I had for this iteration of the work is waning.

This realization surfaced two options. One, I could double-down on the maintenance work that feels against my nature OR two, I could release myself to what’s next.

AH-HA + OH-NO = LET GO

So after two years, 600+ course enrollments and 800+ community members, I’m moving on. To what? I don’t exactly know and that’s OK.

The RISE foundations course - How to Be Better at Feedback - and all the resources that I shared in the community are now fully and freely accessible on the RISE website.

Letting go feels like a way to put useful tools in people’s hands while I make space to build again. Nothing’s lost - not the time and energy I put into creating these materials OR the continued time and energy I would have spent maintaining them.
