John Berkey produced amazing art for the Star Wars franchise, including these early studies for the 1977 film featuring the iconic villain Darth Vader, voiced by the late James Earl Jones. Final versions of these studies would go on to be used for Star Wars movie posters and book covers.

We love the color palette used by John Berkey in this work for the 1986 softcover edition of "Run to the Stars" by Michael Scott Rohan.
