Spanning the Susquehanna River since 1930, the Columbia-Wrightsville Bridge, originally known as the Lancaster-York Intercounty Bridge, was once the longest multiple-arch concrete highway bridge in the world and was an essential link on the historic Lincoln Highway.
Today it serves as a link on State Route 462, Bicycle PA Route S and is designated on numerous national historic landmark listings. This iconic bridge anchors more than just a river crossing, it connects cyclists, hikers and rock climbers to the scenic river trail that winds along the Susquehanna and to vistas like Chickies Rock. The area has become a hub of local recreation, celebrating the very outdoor spirit that makes our region so special.
