In honor of yesterday being World Mental health day here’s to all of us. We don’t take the time to appreciate the struggles we have experienced and all the effort it has taken us to accomplish still being here. So continue to fight for your journey and your peace knowing that any effort no matter how small is an accomplishment. I am proud of each of yall.
Would you let anyone walk into your home? No?! We can also be selective who we allow in out lives. This doesn’t make you a bad person it makes you someone aware of the impact others can have on your mental well being.
Yes being selective can mean we lose people in our lives but it also opens up the space for the right people to come into our lives. It can be scary to make changes but don’t let that stop you from having a Better Tomorrow.
There is a scene in this movie after the core emotions are booted out of headquarters that they run into the imagination lab were imagineers are tasked with thinking and creating what the worst possible scenarios are if Riley makes a decision. This is called catastrophizing. When we are faced with decisions we tend to run to the negative outcomes that can arise from the possible choices we have.
Each choice we make has consequences but that doesn't inherently mean that all consequences are negative. Some can be positive.
The truth is we don't know what is going to happen after we make a decision. We have to prepare for the worst and hope for the best knowing that there are possibilities and options that can both be positive and negative. So don't let your fear of the unknown stop you from making a life altering decision that can lead to a greater Tomorrow.
Surround yourself with supportive people who will remind you that you are wonderful and you deserve good things. Then allow yourself to take a set in that direction and be open to the possibilities.
