Lit Path is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our purpose is to "light the path out of the darkness of addiction" through partial scholarships for psychotherapy with certified professionals. We help make recovery therapy more affordable for everyone. Any therapist with the appropriate certification can apply to participate in the program for free which allows them to be able to offer scholarship

Meet the Speakers: Kim Hansen Petroni

We’re honored to feature Kim Hansen Petroni, author of Not a Casserole Widow®: Navigating Betrayal, Trauma, and Divorce with Strength and Strategy and founder of the nonprofit Not a Casserole Widow®, dedicated to supporting individuals healing from betrayal trauma and divorce.
A Relational Recovery and Divorce Coach, Kim holds a Master’s in Counseling and is a Board-Certified Coach, APSATS and ERCEM Supervisor, and Certified Divorce and High-Conflict Divorce Coach. Drawing from both professional expertise and personal experience, Kim empowers betrayed partners to rebuild resilience, prepare for mediation, and move forward with clarity and courage.

Session: Impact of Intimate Betrayal on Divorce
In this powerful presentation, Kim introduces a trauma-informed perspective on divorce after betrayal through the metaphor of the “Not a Casserole Widow®.” She highlights the often unseen grief of betrayed partners and the need for greater understanding and support.
Using her G.R.I.T. framework—Gear, Ruckus, Integrity, and Truth—participants will gain practical strategies for grounding themselves, rebuilding self-trust, and navigating divorce with dignity. This session offers a hopeful reminder that even after profound loss, renewal and healing are possible.
