1) Hi!! My name is Mia! I’m so glad you’re here! 💛💙
* Did you know?
I’m a singer, performer, advocate and proud big sister. There’s only one me… and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

2) This is my family! My favorite people to come home to, and my loudest cheerleaders. Always! 💛💙
* Did you know?
Research shows that 99% of parents of children with Down syndrome say they love their child and 97% say they are proud of them. Honestly, that doesn’t surprise me. Families like mine are filled with lots of love, pride, and support.
A strong support system helps people like me dream bigger, reach higher, and shine brighter!

3) These are my siblings! I can’t imagine my life without these two…and they can’t imagine their life without me 💛💙
*Did you know?
A study found that 96% of siblings say they love their brother or sister with Down syndrome. And 96% say their relationship has made them a better person.

4) This is my brother, my sister Coco and me! Together we’ve shared adventures, laughs, inside jokes and a lot of snacks that definitely weren’t meant for Coco. 💛💙
*Did you know?
Growing up with a sibling with Down syndrome is often linked to higher levels of empathy and understanding.
And growing up with a dog is linked to lower stress, more laughter and somebody always excited when you walk through the door.

5) This is Coco. He’s my handsome, fluffy and furry best friend and one of the most important members of our family. So much he deserves his own portrait. Coco turns 9 years old on July 5.
*Did you know?
Studies show that spending time with dogs can lower stress and increase oxytocin, sometimes called the “love hormone.”

6) And that was a little bit about me! 💛💙

➡️ GRWM: vocal warm-up edition! Most people hear the song, but don’t always see the work behind the first note.

This is part of my routine: tongue and cheek stretches, speech exercises, bone-conduction headphones, breath control, vocal scales, and following advice from a great coach.

Everyone’s process and progress is different, and I love how I’m thriving with mine! 🎤💛

A song is worth 1000 words.
“We’ll rise up. We’ll rise unafraid. We’ll rise up. In spite of the ache. I’ll rise up. And I’ll do it 1000 times again. For you!”
