Are you building yourself up? Or are you beating yourself up?
I was listening to a Louise Hay video, and that phrase stuck with me and really made me wonder.
I have a 10-month-old baby boy, a teenage daughter, we just moved to Orem from another country and I’m building my own business.
It gets busy, it gets messy, and definitely crazy.
So many times I find myself beating myself up with all the “shoulds” of the world that by the end of the day I can actually feel all that weight on my shoulders.
It has helped me:
+ to get clear on what I want,
+ Make a List of the things I can do right now that will bring me closer to what I want?
+ Choosing just one of those things.
+ Schedule a time where I can do that (Start small)
+ let go of the expectations, easier said than done,
+ move, dance every day (with the uncomfortable feelings, thoughts, and sensations…
This last one might sound a little hippie BUT I think that is one of the great differences between
beating yourself up and building yourself up,
the choice of enjoying the way, the choice of having fun, even when everything around us seems to gets too serious and overwhelming, we can still choose to shine for ourselves, this, of course, takes practice and it is a lot easier to do when we have support from like-minded people, systems, best practices…

We caged ourselves by our own beliefs. What we believe to be true about life and how everything is supposed to work.
What society approves and what is politically correct. We keep trying to fit in the socially accepted rules and ideas.
🛑 Have you ever stopped and check if those beliefs are even worth it? 🛑
Many of the bars were made to avoid pain or to get satisfaction but how valid are they now?
Let's observe and keep challenging ourselves.
🤔 Do you even need to be caged at all?
🤚 Don't be like the big elephant 🐘 that is still restraint by the same rope and weak stick that used to hold it as a baby...
BE FREE!!! YOUR MIND IS THE LIMIT!!!
