What's not to love about ?
They're good for a snack, breakfast, on its own, on top of yogurt, with cereal, etc.
Some store-bought granola can be high in sugar and fat, so it's best to make your own. Experiment with different nuts/seeds and also various mix-ins.
Let us know what your favorite combination is!
Here is the recipe📝:
1: Preheat oven to 350℉.
2: Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
3: In a large bowl, combine 2 cups , 3/4 cups nuts and/or seeds (here, we used walnuts and sunflower seeds), and 1/4 tsp cinnamon.
4: Pour in 2 tbsp olive or coconut oil, 3 tbsp honey, and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
5: Mix thoroughly. Spread the mix on the baking tray.
6: Bake until golden (~10 minutes), stir, and bake again (~5minutes).
7: Take the tray out of the oven and let it cool.
If desired, you can mix in chocolate chips, toasted
, etc.
8: Store in an airtight container and enjoy!
