Students from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies course, Maple: From Tree to Table, joined YLL in sampling some of last year's syrups before heading out into the sugarbush to tap a few Maple trees. Students also got to enjoy some fresh sap after the workshop.

The second session of the Fermentation Intensive hosted in collaboration with focused on Fermentation and Business: Selling microbes in food form. The workshop included engaging conversations on scaling a fermented products business and the cultural narratives that surround the consumption of fermented food. Students in Professor Edward S. Cooke’s Material Literacy seminar got to enjoy a day of greenwood spoon carving out at the Landscape Lab today.
