This club has been created this year, 2013. We meet every other Monday at 4:00 p.m. in the B building of the Rancho Santiago Canyon College campus in room 214. There are no serious commitments or obligations. It's totally FREE and FUN. EVERYONE IS WELCOME! We encourage all types to join - you don't even have to know much of English at all! Read, read, read. Read everything - trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it. Then write. If it is good, you'll find out. If it's not, throw it out the window.

The SCC English Club's "Bad Romance" meeting was a lot of fun. Big thanks to those of you who brought something to share, either food/drinks or a short story! Everyone who participated in the writing contest did a wonderful job. The stories were all quite "bad!" Congratulations and a special thank you to the winners of the contest, for creating the most horribly romantic (and humorous) stories of all! Group members crowned winners - Cait and Taylor. Hope to see you all at the next meeting!
