Happy Tail: What better way to start off the week than with a Happy Tail. Sweet Twilo has been adopted, and we couldn't be happier for this boy. Twilo's new family is thrilled to add him to their lives and purchased for him lots of new toys including a tunnel and a three tiered lovely cat tree. Twilo was thrilled to try them all out immediately. We wish Twilo and his new family a wonderful life together and looking forward to many Happy Tail Updates in the future!

PLEASE HELP: DO YOU RECOGNIZE THIS MAN OR CAR....On May 22, 2026 an Uber driver making a grocery delivery to a private home in Hawthorne, NJ took a family's cat named Bella. The driver pulls up to the house and quickly takes Bella and drops her in his car before delivering the food. Once he secures the cat in the car, he then delivers the groceries and briefly inquires about the cat to a tenant of the multi family home. The tenant the Uber driver speaks to is not the cat's owner. Bella is approximately 19 years old, and the family is distraught about her being stolen. They are looking to get Bella back. The family has reported the incident to the Hawthorne, NJ Police Department and the matter is under investigation. Unfortunately, the identity of the Uber driver has not been determined. If you have any information regarding the identity of the Uber driver or if you recognize the man or his car or know what rescue he may volunteer with (if in fact he actually volunteers with a rescue), PLEASE contact the Hawthorne Police Department at (973) 427-1800.

Here is a Happy Tail Update of two feral cats that were TNRed. Mama was spayed; Papa was neutered and look at them now. These two feral cats were once enemies. Papa's hormones caused him to roam to find a mate; he would get into fights with other males and had wounds to show for it. Hormonal roaming put him at a greater risk for death by getting hit by cars. Mama's instincts would cause her to run from Papa; she was afraid of him. Now these two feral love birds live harmoniously in the homeowner's backyard. Although we wish, they had given up their feral ways for an indoor life, they are provided everything they need by this wonderful family. And maybe one day, they will change their minds and come inside. But for now, it is so nice to see them ear-tipped and happy!
