He was approximately 14 years old.

Ezra joined our rescue in September of 2022, where found him laying on the side of the road. They almost mistook him for a discarded tire.

Ezra lived with foster mom and dad Shannel and Eric until his health was stable. We thought he only had a few months left.

We moved him to to live with foster mama Tanyce and her family, and where he would stay for nearly 4 years. Tanyce and her son was right next to him Ezra took his last breath. He left this world knowing love and comfort.

Foster mama Tanyce will tell you this about her fospice seniors: Sometimes you think you're the one saving them, but its actually them who saved you.

Rest in peace, Ezra. You were the coolest and goodest boy.



The rescue and our foster families extend our most sincere thank you to our donors and supporters, because without you, there would be no rescue.

Feeling down and I don't have a ton of words right now. Also a little defeated with everything right now.

If you can help however you can (donate, share, comment, etc.) Sanctuary senior Ezra has declined to the point where it is kinder to let him go. The rescue is drowning in medicals and broke as sh** right now, so any help is appreciated. His euthanasia and aftercare cost...

Then there is Tiny Taco, our rescue's sanctuary senior who is a patchy 17 yo chihuahua/Chinese crested mix also went to the vet yesterday for a collapsed trachea and bronchitis. He's part chihuahua, so kind of indestructible, but he needed xrays and meds. Vet visit was only like $300, but $300 is $300...
