Leatherstocking SCUBA

Leatherstocking scuba will be hosting PADI women's dive day at Three Mile point on Otsego lake north of Cooperstown. Free tank and weights for women divers.
Professor Mairi Meehan will prepare divers for understanding scientific observations for ecosystem monitoring.

Gather at 11 am.
Leatherstocking Scuba will bring cylinders and weights on a first come basis.
Divers are responsible for their own gear and are expected to have dive medical insurance and agree to permission slips and waivers for Cooperstown and Leatherstocking Scuba.

For all my friends with a DAN account in NY State:
You may be wondering about the letter you just received. While it may sound bad (written to comply with legal requirements) it is actually good news. Let's break it down.

Currently, NYS insurance regulations make our NY DAN insurance policies out of line with the other 49 states. This is changing June 30th.

To make this change, your membership and insurance policy will end June 30th, and the new policies and membership will be available July 1st. DAN will refund the prorated amount of your membership and insurance.

On July 1st, three levels will be available. (Dive accident medical benefit show - see DAN for additional information)
Guardian ($500,000 per occurrence) (NEW for NY Residents)
Preferred ($250,000 per occurrence)
Master ($125,000 lifetime)
