Through our Land Access Program, CADE works to help bridge the gap between aspiring farmers with landowners, sharing opportunities (specifically in Delaware, Schoharie and Otsego counties) while supporting careful transition planning to ensure a resilient food system into the future.

Terra Viva (formerly Aldo's) Farm is a privately-held property in Schoharie County, NY. The owners are seeking experienced farmer(s) to establish a business that works well alongside their own aspirations for a cattle herd on the land. There is newly-renovated rental housing available onsite. Farm owners are open to different models of collaborating with the incoming farmer(s).

For livestock/poultry farmers looking to start or relocate in the Mohawk Valley, this is a chance to share a large land parcel with on-site infrastructure and collaborative co-occupants.

Check out details on their NY Farmland Finder listing (search Aldo's farm), and reach out to our Land Access Program Manager to explore potential fit.

Sofia has led the procurement department at GrowNYC’s New York Regional Food Hub in the Bronx, oversaw sourcing and operations for an aggregate CSA delivery program as well as a brick and mortar market & cafe at Local Roots in Brooklyn, developed programming to support beginning and immigrant farmers with expanding their wholesale operations, and consulted mission-aligned food businesses on strategy and marketing.
