There are lots of great reasons to volunteer for a teaching ultrasound. Spotting a life-threatening condition is 𝑛𝑜𝑡 usually one of them.

Each year, dozens of expecting moms sign up to let our sonography students practice their hands-on skills. For some, it’s giving back. For others, it’s just a chance to see their baby one more time before giving birth. But this one defied everyone’s expectations.

Congratulations to mom-Kelsey Kelley, and hats-off to Mandi Tanner, a sonography instructor who's really teaching 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑀𝑒𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑜𝑓 𝐶𝑎𝑟𝑒.

Volunteer ultrasound saves Omaha baby’s life Kelsey Kelley signed up to volunteer for a teaching ultrasound at Nebraska Methodist College when she was 30 weeks pregnant.
