Who doesn’t love a good challenge? Apparently we love them. Something will always go wrong . One lesson we learned real fast our first year in an extreme winter is pivot and adjust .

And if you think that you would never be able to make it in extreme winters in an RV then I am here to tell you that you don’t give yourself enough credit.

Did you catch the name change ????

I decided to change it to incorporate the tiny home living , but I’m still not a barista . So welcome to The Compact Cafe series , where I will take you on the journey of espresso making to start and you never know where it will lead .

I started this as an empty nester “hobby” because I love coffee and not knitting and I already live in an RV , but has turned into so much more . The time I spend on making my espresso the noise in my brain is blocked out and my focus is on the art of espresso . I never realized how much I would love this journey and take it serious .

When I started this series it was just a way to show how I am learning espresso , the good, The bad ( and yes there has been some yuck espresso) , and more because I love coffee and wanted a better espresso .

If you are new here , I’m Christina , creator behind Rooted RV Life . I am a coffee loving, RV living , and still not a barista . Learning espresso just makes sense because you will more than likely find me with a cup of coffee in my hand . I live fulltime in an RV with my husband , Chad and our pets in Nebraska for 3 years .

Just know if you ask me about Full Time RV Living the conversation is likely to end up about black tanks, gray tanks, the smells , dehumidifiers and the list just goes on and on .

One of our biggest full-time RV mistakes was trying to “save money” buying a mattress on Amazon after upgrading our RV.

We had a by Brooklyn Bedding mattress in our last RV and absolutely loved it, but somehow convinced ourselves another mattress would be just as good .

We were WRONG !!!

There was a point that I felt like I was sleeping with my feet in the air because that Amazon mattress started sinking . Let’s just say my sleep was almost non existent and most of it was the mattress. We finally went back to what we already knew worked for us and upgraded to the Aurora Luxe from Brooklyn Bedding.

Let’s just say my internal furnace is having a party because of the cooling technology in the Aurora Luxe mattress .

I wish we knew about these 2 products when we started out . And yes it is still needed in less humid states like Arizona . One thing all RV’s need no matter where you are parked is moisture control .
