Yesterday, the Together Housing Team had the opportunity to spend the morning with Metro Transit Omaha, learning more about the transportation services and resources available to help individuals and families travel throughout the Omaha metro.

Access to reliable transportation can be a critical piece of achieving housing stability, maintaining employment, attending medical appointments, and connecting with essential services. We're grateful to Metro Transit for taking the time to share their knowledge and help our team better serve those who rely on us.

Another great partnership established today Together, a nonprofit dedicated to helping families in the Omaha metro area move from crisis to stability. They provide emergency assistance with basic needs such as food, housing support, utilities, transportation, and case management while connecting individuals and families with resources that promote long-term self-sufficiency.

Our partnership will enhance the immediate needs for our community!

A simple "thank you" can mean everything. ❤️

Today, one of our leaders was walking through the pantry when a participant stopped to ask if they were a manager. Expecting a question or concern, they were surprised when the participant simply pointed to the groceries in her cart and said, "Thank you."

She shared that she is currently between jobs and that having access to Together's pantry has been such a blessing for her and her family.

Moments like these remind us why we do this work. Every bag of groceries represents more than food—it represents hope, dignity, and the knowledge that no one has to face a difficult season alone.
